Add a roof and fit it to the full deck section or the intended left, right, front, or rear region. Confirm the footprint before selecting detailed framing and finish options.

Describe the intended enclosure and roof form

• Open covered porch or screened enclosure.
• Shed or gable roof style.
• Header height, slope, overhang, and house tie-in.
• Post and footing support strategy.
• Doors, openings, fireplace, TV wall, and patio-only conditions.

Review the cover as its own structure

Use plan, elevation, 3D, Details, and Takeoff together. Confirm the relationship to the house, doors and windows, deck framing, support posts, footings, stair circulation, and required clearances.
